I am an amateur photographer, retired, and live with my lovely wife, Jacqui, in Somerset West, Cape Town, South Africa.

I love photography. I love the challenges it sets on a daily basis, the fact that one will never know everything about it, no matter how hard you try, but that every new piece of acquired knowledge brings an enormous sense of satisfaction.

I am a member of the Tygerberg Photographic Society, currently on a 5-star rating. I am also a member of the Photographic Society of South Africa, and have earned Licentiate status (LPSSA) in the digital colour category, which, though being the lowest level of honour awarded, is an achievement I'm very proud of.
